A scene you can build on.
Strange games come from people who can get under the hood. We’re building Threebox for a scene that shares its tools, swaps ideas, and makes things nobody asked permission to make.
OPEN THE BOX. MAKE IT YOURS.
Build on Three.js. Change it, share it, take it with you. Your projects belong to you.
We’ll publish the reference hardware design and parts list, sell kits, and make the box as hackable as we can. Static’s voice coding tools will be open source, too.
Deploy on Threebox by default for an easy path from idea to TV. Take your project to another host whenever you want.
Out of the open-source underground
Fast racers. Impossible jumps. Strange places to get lost. A few real games from the open-source Three.js scene we’re building for.
Independent projects, shown with creator credits. Threebox compatibility is still to be tested. Image sources & licenses ↗

STATIC. THE FACE IN THE BOX.
ON YOUR SIDE.
Meet Static. Your AI accomplice writes and changes the game. You decide what stays, what goes, and what gets gloriously out of hand.
Describe what you want to play. Start with an idea. Make it strange.
Build it with AI. Change the rules, the world, the whole point.
Grab the controller. Play on your TV. Find the next thing to change.
Before you plug in
Threebox is in development. Join the waitlist for launch news and early access updates. We haven’t announced a price or ship date yet. No payment is required.
We’re building Threebox so you can create games by talking, without writing the code yourself. If you do code, get straight into the source. We’re open-sourcing the voice coding tools so the community can change those, too.
We’ll sell hardware kits based on an open reference design and offer paid hosting for your games. You own your game code and can choose another host. Kit prices and hosting plans are still being worked out.
They’re existing open-source Three.js projects by independent creators. They show the kinds of games in the ecosystem, not an announced launch lineup. Controller support and performance on Threebox still need testing.
For the games nobody else is making.
